Lake Lanier's Priciest Home Sale of 2022 Just Closed

Lake Lanier's highest priced home just closed at $5.42 million after being on the market 10 days. It sold last September 2021 at $2.5 million. The unique lakefront home in Forsyth County was built in 2006, had just over 9000 square feet and was situated on about an acre.

To date in 2022, 60 Lake Lanier lakefront homes have closed with price tags over $1 million with a median of 10 days on the market (average of 32 days). Of those sales, 28% were buyers paying cash (a sale not involving financing). The maximum list to sales price ratio was 131% with an average sales price being 99% of list price.

Lake Lanier, spanning several counties in Northeast Georgia, is home to celebrities and more recently, home to many who have chosen to leave the west coast, New York, and Florida, among other states. Along with these who have found great value on Lake Lanier, those who can work from home, have come from Atlanta and all over the country, seeking the solace and quiet of the lake.
