Where the Fireworks Are July 4th Weekend - 2015
How exciting that July 4th falls on a Saturday this year! Wherever you live in Northeast Georgia, there is sure to be a nearby fireworks show and Fourth of July Celebration. You may even decide to venture out a bit. And it's not just the fireworks you'll enjoy. Some of the celebrations have incorporated all kinds of fun events - Farmers Market, Parades, Concerts, Car Shows, Runs and even Watermelon Eating contests. I've compiled a list of area celebrations and I hope it's helpful in making your weekend planning easier. Whether you are going by car or boat, there are plenty of venues from which to choose. I hope that you and your family enjoy a safe and Happy Independence Day.
Blairsville GA - Watch the skies over Meeks Park light up with an explosion of lights and color Saturday night, July 4th. Meeks Park is at 11 Pool Lane, Blairsville (1/2 mile west of Blairsville Hwy. 515W).
Braselton GA - The Independence Day Celebration is on Saturday, July 4th at Braselton Park. Enjoy booths and food trucks along with live entertainment on the stage throughout the day in the park. The Parade through downtown begins at 6 p.m. with a fireworks show at dark. Get more information here as to where the best spots are to see the fireworks show.
Buford/Lake Lanier - Fireworks will begin at 10 pm, Saturday night at Lanier Islands. If you are going by car, the address is 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford GA. This is a great show to see by boat. Get the complete schedule of events here.
Cumming GA - The Cumming Independence Day Celebration takes place at Cumming Fairgrounds at 235 Castleberry Road, Cumming GA. It begins on Friday, July 3rd at 6 pm with various vendors, food and drink, inflatables for kids, a live band and fireworks at dark. A Steam Engine Parade will begin at 10 am on Saturday, July 4th. Dahlonega GA - This celebration will take place on July 4th. Arrive early to participate in or spectate the Firecracker 5k/10k race, then try your hand at watermelon cutting, sponsored by The Dahlonega Nugget; visit the Classic Car Show; spend time at Home Depot’s Kids’ Corner and dance to the diverse sounds of bluegrass, folk, and country musicians lining the square. The Independence Day Parade through the historic square begins around 5pm and ends just in time to find a spot on the nearby drill field of the University of North Georgia for spectacular fireworks show. Independence Day Celebration in Dahlonega
Dawsonville GA - Sparks will fly as the celebration takes place at Atlanta Motorsports Park just west of downtown Dawsonville at 20 Duck Thurmond Road, Dawsonville GA. Last year's event was the inaugural event here and over 5000 people showed up to celebrate. In addition to the fireworks, there are concerts and even a triathlon that involves karting.
Presented by the Dawsonville Downtown Development Authority, parking for Sparks in the Motorsports Park opens at 3:30 p.m., with activities beginning at 4 p.m on Saturday, July 4th.

Demorest GA - On Saturday, July 4th, this old fashioned celebration that has been a tradition since 1890 will take place in downtown Demorest with a parade, crafts, horseshoes, cake walk, music, art, concerts, a 5k run, antique car show and many food vendors. To see the fireworks, you will need to be in the Downtown Demorest/Demorest Springs Park area. For more information and a detailed schedule, visit HabershamChamber.
Gainesville GA - See the fireworks on July 4th at dark from Laurel Park on Lake Lanier just north of Gainesville. This is a great place to see fireworks from the water if you want to go by boat. If you are driving, the admission is $5 per car. The address is 3100 Old Cleveland Highway, Gainesville GA 30506.
Helen GA - Fireworks will begin at dark on July 4th behind the Helen Welcome Center and the Alpine Village Shoppes at 8016 South Main Street, Helen GA.
Hiawassee GA - It is bound to be just a bit cooler in Hiawassee, where Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th at Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds at 1311 Music Hall Road, Hiawassee GA just off Highway 76. There will be concerts and food prior to the fireworks at dark. It's easy to see these fireworks by boat from Lake Chatuge. Get more information here at Independence Day Fireworks Celebration.
Lakemont GA - A Fireworks Extravaganza will begin around 9 pm at The Earthen Dam at Lake Rabun. This is a great show to see by boat from Lake Rabun. Get more information at LakeRabun.com.
Lake Burton GA - A fireworks show accessible by boat at the south end of Billy Goat Island. This is a community-funded fireworks show with a suggested donation of $50 per family.
Young Harris GA - Visit the Sunset Pavilion on Saturday, July 4th at Brasstown Valley Resort, 6321 Highway 76, Young Harris GA. There will be a cookout (advance reservations needed) and fireworks at dark. Visit here for more information.

Though I'd never write about Luxury Real Estate dove mountain management team but here it goes. Absolutely any problem that arises is fixed really fast and the remodeled apartment I live in is awesome.
ReplyDeleteOnly downsides here was that I’m not sure if they were expecting such a crowd as they did not have nearly enough servers and sometimes it would take a really long time for service guy to come. But at party venues in Houston they tried to keep a smiles on their face.
